It’s good to see the fruits of our labour in the spotlight on stage or screen – in recent weeks this has included the set for the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year, a huge prop for the ENO and the London production of Magic Mike. But, as ever, behind the scenes and not-so-visible, a huge amount of work goes into ensuring the continual improvement of our processes and systems.
We are delighted to have achieved re-certification of our ISO 9001 Quality Management standard. Our Compliance Manager, Kathy Pyne and our new Operational Board came in for praise and the auditor was impressed with the improvements we’ve made since his last visit in May. ”The system continues to evolve and integrate further with the Environmental Management System and H&S systems showing synergies in supporting the business.” The commitment and dedication in improving our processes often goes unseen and unpraised and it’s great to see this work acknowledged.
We’re also delighted to have passed our six-monthly ISO 14001 Environmental audit. Achieving the desired outcomes in areas such as management, compliance, leadership, awareness and resources is testimony to the robust nature of the systems we have in place and a reflection of the increased awareness of staff across the company. We also discussed initiatives to better educate our clients in relation to materials choice, use and disposal.
