We’re pleased to announce that we’ve recently passed our BSI review in ISO:14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO: 9001 Quality Management Systems! Over three days we were audited on our Environmental Impact and Practices and our Quality Management in a Surveillance Assessment conducted by BSI consultants. The ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems certificate represents our on-going commitment to improving our overall sustainability, whilst the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate focuses on our processes and procedures.
The Auditors recognised our efforts in creating a Business Management System which monitors and controls the access of internal documentation within the company and also recognised the continuing improvement with regards to our focus on the Environment. A special mention was made of Shawney Smith, our Environmental Operative, for her efforts in ensuring we are responsible and sustainable. It was noted that our attitude and awareness to the overall support of our core principles and values has continued to improve; elements of the business are being connected which is helping us create a streamlined, concise and efficient approach to how we work.
We spoke to our Compliance Manager, Kathy Pyne about the review process and the importance of the certification: ‘These certificates are very important to Stage One. They demonstrate to our Clients how committed we are to both protecting the environment and providing them with a high quality, efficient service. Whilst the Audits themselves are hard work, the results enable us to continue the process of reviewing and improving all our systems and procedures.’
Our next Audit will be in the Spring, giving us time to continue to develop and refine our Quality and Environmental practices.
