For the launch of AstraZeneca’s new UK research facility, we constructed an unveiling stage. A steel roundel, clad in timber, provided the base for the three-pencil design. And while it looks like decking, it is in fact one piece of timber, routed to look like decking. Reducing wastage and work hours.
The pencils were made from timber and sanded down to create a surface that would allow our paint shop to start work. They then applied a high gloss finish.
These pencils were then mounted to the base and attached to overhead CHS steel, to provide increase stability. An essential, as HRH Prince Charles as present on-stage during the unveiling.
