This track-side VIP stand for the Formula E Championships was manufactured to an extremely high-spec and included replica cars made from FRP. Themed as a Fan Garage, the stand provided lucky competition winners with the opportunity to watch and interact with the races close-up whilst seated within a car cockpit, a personal screen providing a driver’s-eye view of the race.

We manufactured the complete stand, providing all graphics as well as the replica car-themed seating units. Two replica car shells were made; our 3D scanner and 5 axis CNC facilities being used to create accurate moulds directly from an original car cockpit, back rest and body panels. The cars were finished in our paint shop with a high-end automotive paint and appropriate sponsor branding.

Further seating elements were manufactured from timber, aluminium and composites and were attached to each side of the replica cars. These units were upholstered and provided extra seating for friends and family of the competition winners.
