We manufactured bespoke track, trolleys, hoists and winches to enable realistic multi-axis flight of the life sized ‘dragons’ down the full 55m of the performance area, allowing the huge life-like creatures to swoop around two 15m internal circles with a further ‘loading’ loop off stage. Up to six dragons and up to four performers could fly at any given moment on custom designed trolley and winch arrangements; all controlled independently via radio Ethernet linked motion control, running 3D animation macro sequences for each trolley design.

Multiple changes in trolley direction were created by 14 tracking points, similar to an upside-down railway. We provided further stage engineering along with scenic elements such as the ground row and rear wall.
