One of the most watched esports events, the League of Legends World Championship Grand Final 2024, hosted by Riot Games, took place at The O2 Arena in London. Working with event producers Done + Dusted, Stage One was commissioned to deliver a huge reveal moment for the opening ceremony.

We manufactured a 25m long stage incorporating trap doors and lift platform, their automation provided by our Qmotion equipment and supported by drive technicians and operators, for American band Linkin Park to rise from beneath the stage to perform the tournament’s anthem.

Additionally, we were commissioned for the automation of a second, smaller reveal – a lift arising from within the gaming stage to present the winners with a prestigious prize cup.

The lift took eight seconds to rise for the victors to claim their trophy. It is now a new stock item available for hire within our Qmotion inventory.
