We created the entire set for this TV advert, turning traditional set building and joinery skills to creating an intimate environment, seen up-close and in great detail by the camera. The empty studio space was transformed into the heart of a family home, taking in not just the kitchen of a converted Victorian house, but hallway, garden and views into other living areas too.

We created floors, walls and ceilings plus detailing such as architrave, skirting and hand built windows and doors. Fully functioning utilities including running water played an important part in adding to the notion that this was an authentic, lived-in family home. All appliances, sockets and light fittings were fitted and fully functioning, walls were painted or tiled and even a skylight fitted to the ceiling. The set also included a removable wall to facilitate the filming of interior shots from different angles.

After filming, the kitchen was removed and reinstalled in a different configuration at a conference, much of the detailing being reused and repurposed.
