A prestigious 10-day event, the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia was a befitting celebration of cinema.

Taking place in the auditorium of the Ritz Carlton, Stage One delivered the reveal moment of the opening and closing ceremonies, and prior to the biggest film screenings of the event.

Show control was required for four large digital screens, each 5m high and 3m wide, that were to move on and off stage, as well as configure and re-configure between a single collective display and its four individual counterparts.

We deployed our Qmotion automation platform to control the tracking and manoeuvrability of these screens to ensure a smooth gliding movement between each configuration.

The set up consisted of a track to each side, each accommodating two screens, the 30m traverse provided by two PD4 winches rigged in a push-pull configuration. Show control was provided using our Galileo console, accompanied by an operator, positioned in the balcony of the auditorium.
