The 2009 pavilion was a Matisse-like, undulating and reflective structure that required an innovative approach to engineering and finishing.

Working closely with Arup, we ensured the geometry and overall aesthetic of the design was achieved, drawing on our in-depth understanding of different materials, fixings and finishing techniques.

We may have used tools usually associated with aerospace manufacturing, but the overall effect was one of reflective and weightless simplicity.
