We installed this 2m high Creme Egg overnight, taking the early morning flow of commuters and visitors by surprise as they stumbled across the cordoned off ‘Grime Scene’.

Created in our interpretation workshop, the egg was manufactured from moulded GRP before the familiar ringed design was added and the surface skilfully painted to look, very convincingly, like chocolate. meanwhile, the printed metalic foil ‘trunks’ faithfully reproduced the design of the creme egg wrapper at the appropriate scale.

Working with Leanne Ash at Pretty Green, the campaign built on a series of TV adverts – the giant Creme Egg, resplendent in the foil speedos, apparently having dived from the 5m diving board, upsetting a market applecart and splattering ‘goo’ (manufactured from a washable cornstarch) on the marketplace.
